History and Lore
Yo Mr. White is a cat that has been known to be present at Fort Blackie since cats were known to inhabit the area along with Blackie for whom the subcolony was named. After a lengthy hiatus, upon returning, this same pure white cat was still present along with Trick Shot.
The name Yo Mr. White was possibly the most controversial on the channel, a reference to the show Breaking Bad. Initially, a first naming poll was conducted and was found to have voter fraud among viewers using alt accounts for voting. The name “Snowpoke” was winning before starting the poll over and winning again. Long time viewer Thatonlytwitcher redeemed a repoll to prevent the “Snowpoke” monicker from sticking. In the subsequent stream at The Roundabout Colony, another attempt was made to conduct a naming poll. In this instance, the name Charmin, suggested by Sage55, was the winner. However, yet another repoll was redeemed by Peppperjam. In the subsequent repoll, Charmin and Yo Mr. White went head to head with perhaps the longest, most split poll ensued. Additionally, it garnered the most votes being contributed to date. Many viewers unfamiliar with Breaking Bad had no affinity to the meme name. Yet many lurkers in the chat were encouraged to vote and in the end Yo Mr. White just narrowly eked out enough votes to win by the narrowest of margins.
In addition to being a Breaking Bad reference, the name Yo Mr. White makes for an unwitting counterpart name to that of his late friend Blackie.
